The curriculum and teaching methods are based on similar training courses conducted by the WHO Global Programme on AIDS in the early 1990s. The training is primarily meant for programme managers and senior staff of AIDS programmes at the national and subnational levels. The purpose of the National AIDS Programme Management training course is to strengthen the management of national AIDS programme by: Presening a systematic process of developing and managing comprehensive national AIDS prevention and care programmes; and providing an opportunity to enhance the knowledge and practice skills needed to implement such a process. |
