Tóm tắt : | With the emergence of resistance to artemisinins, ACTs and other antimalarial drugsin the Asia-Pacific, monitoring drug resistance using standardized WHO therapeuticefficacy study protocols is an important activity of national malaria programmes toidentify early deterioration in the efficacy of recommended treatment regimens.The Third Meeting of the Expanded BBINS (Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Nepal andSri Lanka) Malaria Drug Resistance Monitoring Network was convened in NewDelhi, India, in August 2018 to determine the degree of drug resistance and discussevidence-based updates to drug policies. The meeting, which brought togethernetwork participants including from Indonesia and Timor-Leste, discussed amongothers the results of therapeutic efficacy studies, including update on molecularmarkers for drug resistance, and workplans for studies over the next two years. |
