Tóm tắt :

HIV transmission is still a major concern in Europe, in particular in the eastern part of the WHO European Region. In 2015, more than 153 000 people were diagnosed with HIV, the highest number of newly diagnosed infections ever reported in one year. Of these, 79% were diagnosed in the east of the Region, and 19% in the European Union and European Economic Area (EU/EEA). Newly diagnosed infections from the Russian Federation represented 64% of all cases in the WHO European Region and 81% of cases in the eastern part of the Region. The data presented in this report indicate that, despite significant efforts dedicated to the prevention and control of HIV in Europe, the number of new HIV diagnoses has not declined substantially over the last decade in the western part of the Region and the EU/EEA, and has more than doubled in the eastern part of the Region. In the central part, while remaining at a low level overall, the number of new diagnoses has increased more than anywhere else in the Region. xxi, 105 p.
