The National workshop on occupational health services for vulnerable workers and the fourth meeting ofthe South-eastern European (SEE) Network on Workers’ Health were held at the Institute of OccupationalHealth, WHO Collaborating Centre for Occupational Health, Skopje, the former Yugoslav Republic ofMacedonia, on 24 and 25 November 2008. The theme of the workshop was how to identify vulnerablegroups in need of basic occupational health services.The aim of the National workshop was to identify high-risk sectors, vulnerable groups and underservedpopulations in need of basic occupational health services, and to draft policy recommendations onimproving the quality of and access to those services.The members of the SEE Network on Workers’ Health agreed that the Network should play a proactiverole and have specific tasks in the implementation of the WHO Global Plan of Action on Workers’ Health2008–2017 in the SEE subregion. The outcome of the National workshop and the SEE Network meetingshould provide further guidance for implementation of the Global Plan of Action in south-eastern Europeand the WHO European Region.
