| Tóm tắt : | Large-scale displacement since the onset of the war in Ukraine presents a major challenge and a requirement for sustainable, long-term solutions to provide adequate health-care services for refugee and host populations. The 2024 Subregional technical meeting on identifying mid-to long-term solutions related to the Ukraine refugee health response, was held in Prague, Czechia, as a follow up to the 2023 meeting in Bratislava, Slovakia and was attended by refugee-hosting countries, partner agencies, civil society, academia and WHO. Four moderated technical discussions were used to identify challenges, discuss solutions arising from different refugee-hosting countries and partners, and agree on steps forward. Ongoing issues were identified as the crisis continues through the protracted phase – many common across countries – however, a wide range of key recommended actions were identified. Participants noted the need for sustainability, to leverage and build further on the positive examples implemented during the crisis, to work on strengthening health systems and to continue to work with Ukraine, and expressed ongoing solidarity. The next meeting is planned for 2025, with a commitment to include Ukraine in follow up meetings and discussions, with work until then pursued by ongoing informal networking/working groups. v, 30 p. |
