63 p. A Working Group on Sodium, Chlorides and Conductivity in Drinking-Water was convened in The Hague on 1–5 May 1978 by the WHO Regional Office for Europe in collaboration with the Netherlands Ministry of Health and Environmental Protection. The aim of the meeting was to establish recommended upper limits or recommendations in relation to sodium, chlorides and conductivity in drinking-water. As part of its mandate, the Working Group also had to consider the feasibility of the recommendations and suggest possible measures. The meeting brought together experts on internal medicine, environmental health, environmental hygiene and drinking-water production. It was attended by 20 experts from 12 countries, as well as by staff members from the WHO Regional Office for Europe and from the Commission of the European Communities.
