| Tóm tắt : | On 23–24 May 2024, the second meeting of the Coalition of Partners on Health and Tourism, coordinated by the WHO Regional Office for Europe and the World Tourism Organization, convened key stakeholders from the health and tourism sectors in Athens, Greece. The meeting emphasized the need for cross-sectoral cooperation and the interconnectedness of health and tourism, a relationship underscored by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Key objectives included setting thematic priorities for 2024 and 2025, sharing knowledge and research, and agreeing on the development of a report on emergency preparedness in health and tourism. Participants shared experiences, challenges and successes from previous emergencies, including the COVID-19 pandemic and co-created a draft annotated outline of a publication on emergency preparedness in health and tourism. Eight priority areas were identified as crucial elements for future preparedness in health and tourism sectors, including governance, inter-institutional preparedness and response, prevention in tourism communities, evidence-based decision-making, continuous health service delivery, digital tools, financing, and communication. viii, 36 p. |
