The interrelationships among engineers, financial experts and managers are becoming increasingly complex and co-dependent. The authors here (both U. of Tennessee) note that about two-thirds of all engineers will spend about two-thirds of their careers as managers and decision-makers, a situation for which they may not have prepared in school.
