Due to time constraints, instead of aiming at group activities in general, the study focused on those conducted within classroom context. Besides, the study merely examined the oral participation of EFL students rather than both verbal and non-verbalaspects. Moreover, it was carried out with juts a sample of 100 first-year EFL students and five teachers of English at ED at ULIS, VNU.
