Thông tin chi tiết
Tóm tắt : | 100 p. Evaluates risks to human health and the environment posed by industrial and agricultural uses of phosphine, zinc phosphide, aluminium phosphide, and magnesium phosphide. Since naturally occurring phosphine is extremely rare, the book concentrates on occupational exposures and environmental hazards arising from the use of phosphine and metal phosphides as rodenticides and fumigants and as a dopant in the electronics industry. Discussion of sources of human exposure concentrates on the significance of residues in food and of occupational exposures. Effects on human health are then evaluated on the basis of data from experimental research, epidemiological studies, and case reports of accidental or suicidal poisoning. The report concludes with an outline of preventive and protective measures, including the first-aid treatment of poisoning, needed to prevent harmful effects during manufacturing, use, transport, and storage |
