Thông tin chi tiết

Tóm tắt :

40 p. Reports the findings and recommendations of a joint FAO/WHO expert committee convened to evaluate the safety of residues of veterinary drugs in foods. Following a brief overview of previous studies undertaken by FAO and WHO, the report addresses the need to establish procedures, specific to veterinary drug residues, for determining acceptable and safe residue levels in edible animal products. Appropriate analytical methods for detecting or quantifying residues in foods are also discussed. Having established guiding principles for safety assessment, the report then reevaluates the data on one antimicrobial agent and two xenobiotic hormonally active growth promoters. In addition, first-time safety evaluations are provided for three endogenous hormones used as growth promoters
