| Tóm tắt : | 15 p. The World No Tobacco Day theme for 2003 was tobacco free films and tobacco free fashion. The aim of the day was to encourage the fashion and film world to take action to promote the development of a tobacco free society. WHO called on these industries to stop promoting tobacco and to partner with WHO in sending out a message about the harmful effects of tobacco. The 2003 theme built on the 2002 theme of tobacco free sport which called for a removal of tobacco industry sponsorship from sport. World No Tobacco Day provided an important opportunity to build momentum for the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) which was adopted in May 2003 by the World Health Assembly. WHO Member States were encouraged to use World No Tobacco Day to draw attention to the FCTC and, in particular, the elements relating to advertising, sponsorship and product placement |
