Thông tin chi tiết
Tóm tắt : | Quality in service delivery is a crucial aspect of the right to care and a precondition for ensuring that care systems respond adequately to the needs and preferences of individuals, caregivers and communities. This technical document was prepared to support Member States in strengthening quality management and promoting continuous improvement in long-term care (LTC). It proposes a structured framework for conceptualizing and strengthening quality management in LTC, underpinned by the idea that achieving the highest possible quality of care requires a paradigm shift from focusing solely on quality assurance to embracing quality management and continuous improvement. By outlining critical values and principles underpinning quality in LTC and key components for establishing quality management processes, the technical document identifies the main interventions available to policy-makers to promote a quality management approach at both service delivery and system levels, offering a clear pathway for transformative change. vi, 50 p. |
